The Reds turned in their poorest performance of the season as they were soundly beaten 4-0 by Tottenham last weekend at White Hart Lane. Martin Skrtel was a liability at right back and red cards to the Slovakian and Charlie Adam did not help Liverpool’s cause as manager Kenny Dalglish watched on helplessly from the sidelines.

Liverpool’s season appears to be going from bad to worse. At the weekend they travelled down to bottom of the league side Portsmouth and were well beaten two goals to nil. Liverpool boss Benitez points to the dismissal of Argentine captain Javier Mascherano on the stroke of half time as the turning point in the match, but the truth of the matter is that the Reds were already 1-0 down in the score and Portsmouth were looking very comfortable.
