Liverpool will look to put the memories of their embarrassing defeat to Tottenham Hotspur behind them when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend. Catch Liverpool vs Wolves live streaming on your computer by joining Ole Ole Football today.
The Reds turned in their poorest performance of the season as they were soundly beaten 4-0 by Tottenham last weekend at White Hart Lane. Martin Skrtel was a liability at right back and red cards to the Slovakian and Charlie Adam did not help Liverpool’s cause as manager Kenny Dalglish watched on helplessly from the sidelines.
Even worse for Liverpool was the rib injury sustained by Danish defender Daniel Agger that will keep the versatile centre half out on the sidelines for an extended period of time.
Wolves had a great start to the season, but like Liverpool, have suffered back to back Premier League defeats in their last two games. However they go into this fixture on the back of a fine 5-0 triumph over Millwall in the Carling Cup that would surely have increased confidence at Molineux.
Both Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers will be keen to avoid a third straight Premier League defeat when they clash at Anfield this weekend.

After a mixed bag of results in the first half of the season Liverpool players and fans will want to end the year on a high note as they play their final fixture of 2010 against Wolves. That could prove more difficult than you would suspect though as Mick McCarthy has managed to get some good performances out of his players lately. Lots of things have been going on in Anfield in the last week most notably the reappearance of Rafael Benitez in the office as he tries to sort out his compensation payment after his sacking from Liverpool and now Inter Milan. Rumours were rife when the Spaniard arrived back in the Wirral on Wednesday but Hodgson is not one to be panicked. One thing the Liverpool team needs is stability and although Rafa still has many fans in the stands most people would not welcome his defensive style and zonal marking from set pieces. There are lots of other rumours abounding and the one everyone is talking about is the possibility if Ronaldinho appearing in Melwood this season. The Brazilian has not been training with AC Milan and has only half a year left on his contract which makes him available for transfer discussions in January. One possible signing a little close to home is David Bentley who would be a good signing for the player who is not getting starts and Liverpool who need good wide players.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers too have players about to come in after Steve Morgan has given the go ahead for McCarthy top spend. Top of their list is Robbie Keane and he could well move for the chance of regular football. See if they can rise to the occasion with live streaming EPL football from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.
Liverpool and their beleaguered boss Rafa Benitez take on Wolves at Anfield on Saturday afternoon in an English Premier League match they daren’t drop points in again. Liverpool’s season appears to be going from bad to worse. At the weekend they travelled down to bottom of the league side Portsmouth and were well beaten two goals to nil. Liverpool boss Benitez points to the dismissal of Argentine captain Javier Mascherano on the stroke of half time as the turning point in the match, but the truth of the matter is that the Reds were already 1-0 down in the score and Portsmouth were looking very comfortable.
With a man advantage during the second half, Portsmouth were always on top and it was no surprise to anyone when they scored their second goal in the 82nd minute. Liverpool again showed a lack of urgency and as has happened many times before this season, as soon as they conceded a goal the player’s heads appeared to go down.
One thing is for sure and that is Rafa Benitez has to turn things around, and quickly. The loyal Liverpool support can only take so much and there are already mutterings against the present management.
Wolves come into the game at Anfield on the back of a 2-0 home win against Burnley. The win totally vindicated manager Mick McCarthy’s decision to field a reserve team at Old Trafford last Wednesday evening, a game which they lost 3-0. They have now moved up to twelfth in the league with nineteen points.
