Manchester City boss is at a loss to explain his team’s recent run of consecutive draws in the EPL. Last weekend they travelled to Anfield to face a Liverpool team that has been going through the mill lately with some rather bad results of their own. Despite the Reds taking the lead in the game with a goal from central defender Martin Skrtel, City hit back with two goals from Adebayor and Ireland in the 69^th and 76^th minutes respectively. The lead, though, lasted barely a minute as Yossi Benayoun scrambled in an equaliser for the home team.

Under normal circumstances City boss Hughes would have been delighted with a draw at Anfield, but Liverpool’s recent form added to the fact that City were actually leading in the game will have him feeling rather disappointed.

Although Hull City started the season in disappointing fashion, they have won two and drawn one of their last three league games, and the seven points from a possible nine has helped move Phil Brown’s team up the table where they now currently sit in fifteenth position with fifteen points. Their last game was a midweek home encounter with Everton which they managed to win 3-2.
