The Citizens thrashed Spurs 5-1 when the two sides met earlier this season at White Hart Lane. Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko was the destructor in chief for City that occasion, netting four of the five goals as Spurs were torn apart.

Dzeko scored the only goal of the game when City beat Wigan 1-0 in their last game. Spurs on the other hand dropped two points as they had to be content with a 1-1 draw at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Spurs can cut the gap to two points if they beat City at the Etihad this weekend.
