The Hammers could have been three points ahead of United in the backdrop to this clash had they won their previous two clashes which they lost out to Bolton and Hull. With a weekend fixture against Arsenal to contend before this clash, West Ham will be bracing up for a tough four days and anything but a loss will be acceptable at one of the toughest away places in the Premiership.
