Newcastle will play Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday February 5th 2011. The Magpies have taken eight points from their last fifteen possible which means they may not get the win but they will be a tough team for Arsene Wenger’s men to play. Alan Pardew has been disappointed with things that have gone on without his consultation this week and may be the one person in Newcastle that was not motivated by the £35m that is to arrive in the coffers. See if they can get any points motivated or not with live streaming from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.
Arsenal’s season seems to be getting better and better and with five wins on the trot in all competitions the London club will arrive at St. James’ Park with plenty to play for. They are five points behind leaders Manchester United and nothing would please Wenger more than to see his team take the top spot in the coming weeks. With Adam Ramsey recovering on loan with championship high flyers Cardiff the team should go from strength to strength and a win against Newcastle would under line their intent.
Alan Pardew’s Newcastle have been dealt a cruel hand by losing Andy Carrol on the last day of the transfer window. It meant that the club had no time to seek out a replacement but they will be trying desperately to secure back up on a loan basis in the coming weeks. Just two weeks ago Pardew told the fans that Carrol would be going nowhere no matter what the price and now there are many children in Newcastle who have had their number nine shirt as a Christmas present ruined by his departure. See the Newcastle play without Carrol with live streaming from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Newcastle united will be looking for a victory to take them clear of the bottom three. The Geordies will start this game above the relegation zone on goal difference. A victory is vital, but they will face a battle against in-form Arsenal. Newcastle picked up a point in a 1-1 draw at Hull last Saturday, Steven Taylor scoring the Magpies goal. Manager Joe Kinnear will continue to be absent from their bench, the former Wimbledon boss is expected to return in April.
Captain Michael Owen’s return to action has been timely, the striker made his comeback last weekend at Hull and Kevin Nolan could also return to the team after serving a three match ban. Habib Beye and Danny Guthrie are back in training but are unlikely to play a part in this game.
Arsenal have been rejuvenated in recent weeks, climbing back into the Champions League spots. The Gunners hammered Blackburn 4-0 at the Emirates last Saturday. Goals from Emmanuel Eboue (2), a wonder strike from Andrey Arshavin and an own goal from Andre Ooijer were enough to see off Rovers and make it ten goals in three games for Arsene Wengers side. Arsenal need a victory to keep ahead of Aston Villa in the race for the final Champions League spot.
Tomas Rosicky has suffered a setback in his bid for a return to action. Manuel Almunia should return in place of Lukasz Fabianski in goal for the Gunners. The Spaniard picked up an ankle knock in the Blackburn game, but should be fit to start.
