Newcastle were not seen in action last week because of their early exit from the FA Cup. The 5-0 loss to Spurs took place two weeks ago and manager Alan Pardew will be hoping that the long break helps his side rejuvenate themselves.

The Magpies were without two key players that evening at White Hart Lane in the form of Cheikh Tiote and Yohan Cabaye and were run ragged by Spurs in the centre of the park.
