Norwich were convincingly beaten 3-0 by Sunderland on Wednesday night. The Canaries were extremely poor, a fact conceded by manager Paul Lambert as their travelling fans made the trip home utterly disappointed.

Stephane Sessegnon and Frazier Campbell were on target for Sunderland with Norwich defender Daniel Ayala also contributing to his side’s downfall with an unwitting own goal. The Canaries were no match for Sunderland’s pacy attractive style of play.

Bolton did their chances of survival no harm as they grinded out a draw against mighty Arsenal at home. While the Gunners had the better of chances and possession, the Trotters were not without opportunities of their own and were left fuming when Mark Davies was not awarded a late penalty.

Bolton will be looking for three points on home soil against Norwich City when the Canaries come visiting in the Premier League this weekend.
