Norwich put in a determined performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night and were able to keep the Lilywhites at bay for nearly an hour. But two excellent goals from Gareth Bale, both of whom the Canaries were powerless to stop, saw them slump to a 2-0 defeat.

The loss to Spurs was their first loss in four games but manager Paul Lambert will fancy their chances more against Fulham, who have been inconsistent in the league so far. However the Cottagers did put up an impressive performance against Chelsea in their last game, holding Andre Villas Boas’ side to a 1-1 draw.

The hero for Fulham that Boxing Day afternoon was goalkeeper Robbie Stockdale, standing in for the injured Mark Schwarzer. Stockdale did his England chances no harm with a string of impressive saves that prevented Chelsea from taking home all three points.

It is the Canaries vs the Cottagers as Norwich City take on Fulham in the Premier League in Round 19.
