Norwich picked up their first Premier League win of the season last weekend when they beat Bolton Wanderers 2-1 at the Reebok Stadium. Anthony Pilkington’s close range effort, along with an excellent headed goal from Bradley Johnson, were enough for the Canaries to run out winners over Bolton, who ended a man short following Ivan Klasnic’s headbutt on Marc Tierney.

Like Norwich, Sunderland also secured a welcome win last weekend as they thumped Stoke City 4-0 at home. The win brought an end to the Black Cats’ five game winless run and saw them move out of the drop zone and into a comfortable mid table position.

Defender Phil Bardsley continues to be suspended for Sunderland as he serves the second of his four game ban for a stamp on Chelsea winger Juan Mata.

Both Norwich City and Sunderland will look to carry on from where they left last weekend when they clash at Carrow Road on Monday night in the Premier League.
