This Tuesday Birmingham City will be making the journey to Fratton Park for a meeting with Portsmouth. These two teams will be meeting each other twice in quick succession; the first encounter will be for the FA Cup followed by the league game three days later. Join us here on oleolefootball.watchlive.net and see this and other great live stream soccer.
The last time Birmingham faced Portsmouth in the league was way back in August and this saw the Blues capture a 1-0 victory. Birmingham are currently in eight place in the league and will view these next two games against Portsmouth as important. Their last game was against Wigan and that saw them winning 1-0 with a goal from a penalty by James McFadden in the 45th minute.
Portsmouth fans continue to go through hell as they worry about the club’s future. The mess behind the scenes can’t be good for team morale but they do seem to handling it professionally. They managed a 2-1 win last weekend against Burnley with goals from Frederic Piquionne and Hassan Yebda. Pompey remain on the bottom of the English Premier League but maybe if things improve behind the scenes and they manage a few more wins they can avoid relegation; that would certainly be some achievement and probably enough to leave fans happy with the season. We love a great comeback story here on oleolefootball.watchlive.net so why not join us here for some great live streaming soccer action. Kick-off at Fratton Park will be at 19:45.

The Premier League’s basement club Portsmouth entertain the Premier League’s in-form side at Fratton Park this Saturday coming in an intriguing Premier League fixture. With Portsmouth in turmoil off the field as well, these are challenging times for Avraam Grant and his backroom staff. See how the two teams get on in their game by tuning into oleolefootball.watchlive.net on Saturday and enjoying all the action form this live stream offering.
Portsmouth’s woes seem to mounting the longer the season progresses. Everything at Fratton Park seems to stem from the shambolic running of the club and the lack of money available. It has become so bad that the football club are struggling to pay the players every month. It is no surprise then that the team are struggling so badly on the pitch lately. Apart from a surprise home win against Liverpool a few weeks ago, the side haven’t won in five games and have seen themselves slowly falling behind their rivals in the relegation scrap.
They are now four points adrift of the next team and the outlook is bleak. Avraam Grant was brought in to steady the ship but he appears to be working with one, if not two, hands tied behind his back.
For their part, Birmingham City are currently in a rich vein of form. They are undefeated in twelve Premier League games and last time out held champions Manchester United to a 1-1 draw at St. Andrew’s. Manager Alex McLeish now has the problem of trying to keep his players grounded and not let this current run go to their heads too much. The same can be said, of course, about the Birmingham fans who are now dreaming of lofty Premier League heights.
