Things haven’t exactly been hunky-dory for new QPR manager Mark Hughes since he took over from Neil Warnock. Unlike Martin O’Neill, who has masterminded a tremendous change of fortunes at Sunderland, Hughes’ impact has been minimal so far.

QPR lost 3-2 to Blackburn in their last league clash and the Hoops decided to make the most of their short break by heading off to Portugal. While the R’s are in the midst of a relegation dogfight, Fulham have managed to make progress recently under Martin Jol and are 12^th in the league after their 2-1 win over Stoke.

The reverse fixture between the two sides at Craven Cottage resulted in the R’s getting a 6-0 hiding from their neighbours. QPR will be keen to avenge that defeat as well as improve their chances of staying in the league.

Queens Park Rangers will be without the services of star striker Djibril Cisse when they host Fulham this weekend in the Premiership at Loftus Road.
