QPR’s march towards safety was halted last weekend as they suffered a 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion. Graham Dorrans’ thunderous long range goal put paid to the Hoops’ hopes of getting anything from the game.

Spurs were demolished 5-1 by Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinal, although the scoreline was slightly flattering to the Blues. However the Spurs back four just caved in the last fifteen odd minutes, conceding three times, and manager Harry Redknapp will want his defenders to get their act together.

Spurs are currently fourth, but only just, with red hot Newcastle United only behind on goal difference. Chelsea are only two points behind and both teams could leapfrog Spurs if they win their respective afternoon games.

Spurs face London opponents for the second week in succession as they make the short trip across to Loftus Road to take on Mark Hughes’ QPR on Saturday evening.
