In Stoke’s last league game they lost 3-1 at Everton. They were unlucky not to claim a point, as they missed numerous chances in the second half after an awful first half display. The Problem for Boro this season however, has been their lack goals. Their top scorer is Tuncay Sanli with just five league goals this season, but they have shown signs of recovery in recent weeks though and will be hoping for a rare away victory in the Potteries.

Gareth Southgate will have to decide which of his misfiring strikers to start with up front. Marlon King may keep his place in the starting line-up, after scoring the equaliser against Pompey last weekend.
