Stoke have lost just four times at home this season but have won seven out of the fourteen home games that they have already played. In contrast Newcastle United have won five of their fourteen away games with 6 losses in those fourteen games too. The visitors will have to stay focused all the way until the end of the game as 37.5% of Stokes goals have come in the last ten minutes of games this season. That means that fans of both teams will be on the edge of their seat right until the final whistle and nobody leaves the stand early in the Britannia this year.

With the Newcastle manager saying this week that his job is easy because the team picks itself due to a lack of choice he may not have done himself any favours with Mike Ashley but nonetheless a fact is a fact. Despite the fact they are still in tenth place in the table Newcastle have not been the same tam since Andy Carrol have gone and with things like Ryan Taylor suspended due to a red card when he himself was already a back up player Alan Pardew has a tough task of getting results. See if he can grind out an away win with live streams from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Stoke defeated West Brom 2-0 at the Hawthorns last Saturday, strikers Ricardo Fuller and James Beattie scoring the goals. The three points took Stoke into 13th place in the Premier League table, six points clear of the relegation zone. The Potters form has been good in the last six games, winning three games, drawing two and losing only one and Tony Pulis’s side have only suffered one defeat in their last six home games. Stoke are just a few wins away from securing their Premier League status for next season.

Tony Pulis will be without striker Mamady Sidibe for the remainder of the campaign after he damaged his cruciate ligament. James Beattie and Ricardo Fuller are likely to start upfront in the absence of Sidibe, after both scoring in the win over West Brom.

Alan Shearers first game in charge of Newcastle didn’t go to plan as Chelsea defeated the Geordies 2-0 at St James Park. Second half goals from Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda consigned Shearers side to defeat. Newcastle’s recent form has been awful, the Toon losing four out of the last six Premier League games, the other two games resulting in draws. Shearer’s appointment has given the club a real confidence boost though and they will need that confidence to preserve their Premier League status.

Joey Barton and Mark Viduka could be in line for a return to the Newcastle squad after returning to training this week. Peter Lovenkrands is a doubt though after being stretchered off in the Chelsea defeat. Young striker Andy Carroll is hoping to be given a chance by the new Toon boss to prove that he is worthy of a first team place.
