Stoke had suffered losses to Man Utd, Sunderland, Fulham and Valencia before reversing the trend with a win over Crawley. The Potters managed to overcome an early red card to Rory Delap and secured all three points thanks to a goal each from their strike duo of Jonathan Walters and Peter Crouch.

Delap was red carded for a challenge on David Hunt but the Potters managed to appeal against the decision and got it reversed. Both Stoke and Swansea are on the same number of points going into this league outing.

Swansea suffered only their second defeat at home last weekend when they lost 3-2 to fellow promoted outfit Norwich. Danny Graham netted a brace for the Swans in the game.

German defender Robert Huth remains suspended for Stoke as they host Swansea in Round 26’s last Premier League game.
