Sunderland are still searching for their first win of the season after four games. The Wearsiders were beaten by Chelsea last weekend. In the absence of Asamoah Gyan, who sealed a controversial recent loan move to Al-Ain, Steve Bruce chose Nicklas Bendtner to lead the attack.

Chelsea took a 2-0 lead through John Terry and Daniel Sturridge before South Korean Dong Ji Won, a substitute for the ineffective Stephane Sessegnon, netted in injury time for the Wearsiders.

Stoke upset Liverpool 1-0 last weekend. A penalty from Jonathan Walters, earned by the striker himself, condemned the Reds to their first league defeat of the season. Stoke defended solidly in the second half and managed to cling on to their lead till the final whistle.

The Black Cats will welcome Stoke as they travel to the Stadium of Light for their eleventh game in the English Premier League 2010/11 season on Saturday. The game will be a tough fixture for both teams as Stoker are struggling in sixteenth place in the table and Sunderland have just lost 5 - 1 last weekend. Both managers will know that they have sides that are able to win this game but it will definitely come down to which team is better on the day. See who gets the points with live streaming football from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

The main aim of the first forty five minutes for Steve Bruce will be to make sure that his side doesn’t concede. If the home side can give their selves some time to breathe in the first half then the memory of last week may start to fade and they may be able to play with a little more confidence. What was good to see from Bruce’s point of view was that young striker Danny Welbeck seemed genuinely upset that he was taken off after 55 minutes in the last game as the manager looked to fix his defensive problems. The youngster obviously wanted to play and get some goals back which is exactly what the boss would have wanted to see. He will be a sure start for this game against Stoke.

Stoke have been on the end of four defeats and they will not want to continue losing game after game. Tony Pulis will have been taking notes from Chris Hughton last weekend and instead of going like for like away from home he may adopt a more attacking set up. If he does that then Jones and Walters may have a very busy day in front of them. See how they line up and watch the match live with streaming football from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Sunderland lost away at Everton this past Wednesday evening to make it nine Premier League games without a win. Steve Bruce’s side are in free fall at the moment and although still in thirteenth position in the Premier League table, they are only three points clear of the relegation zone. This coming Monday evening the Wearsiders host Stoke City at the Stadium of Light and you can see how the teams get on by joining us right here at oleolefootball.watchlive.net and enjoying the live streaming football from England at its very best.

The defeat at Everton on Wednesday evening casts another shadow over the already gloomy Sunderland outlook. Nine league games without a win is now sorely testing the patience of even the most optimistic of Sunderland fans. Steve Bruce has a battle on his hands to try and steady the ship, but he appears to be running out of ideas. One thing is for sure though, if the team do not start winning soon – starting with Saturday’s game against Stoke – then things could start getting decidedly messy for the Sunderland team.

Sunderland’s home record is still not too bad for a team in freefall – they have played ten games, winning five, drawing three and losing only two. This coupled with Stoke City’s away record which reads won just once, drawn four times and lost five times, will give them at least some hope that they can avoid another defeat.

Stoke are currently sitting in twelfth position and they have 25 points to their name. Their last league game was the 1-1 home draw with Liverpool when they were fortunate enough to score an injury time equaliser against Rafa’s Reds.
