The Swans bossed possession against Wigan last weekend, but were lucky to escape with a point at the end. The Latics rattled the crossbar twice and also had a penalty awarded when Swansea skipper Ashley Williams had a moment of madness in the box, but Dutch keeper Michel Vorm saved the day for the Swans as he dived correctly to deny Ben Watson.

Sunderland went down to local rivals Newcastle United at the Stadium of Light last weekend. A free kick from Ryan Taylor in the second half allowed the Magpies to gain three points at the expense of the Black Cats, who had Phil Bardsley sent off late in the second half.
