The Baggies became the first team to prevent league leaders Manchester City from scoring as they held Roberto Mancini’s side to a goalless stalemate in the Boxing Day round of fixtures.

This clean sheet against the Premier League’s most prolific team was the Baggies’ first in ten outings. Everton have a mixed recent record at the Hawthorns, losing three fixtures and winning two, both by 2-1 scorelines. In the three they lost, Everton failed to score a single goal.
