Wolves last beat Fulham in September 2009 when goals from Kevin Doyle and Dave Edwards gave the hosts a 2-1 win. Since then, the two sides have met three times, with two games ending in draws and one fixture ending in a Fulham win.

Wolves were impressive in their 2-1 opening day win over Blackburn Rovers, although their cause was significantly helped by several injuries to the Lancashire outfit. The win, Wolves’ first at Ewood Park in nearly two decades, arrived courtesy of goals from Steven Fletcher and Stephen Ward after Mauro Formica had put Blackburn ahead.

Fulham were left feeling a tad disappointed at the final whistle against Aston Villa last weekend. After a sluggish first half display, Martin Jol’s side improved after the break and could have easily won the game had opposition keeper Shay Given not brilliantly denied Bobby Zamora twice.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will welcome Mark Hughes’ Fulham to the Molineux stadium on Saturday April 23 for an English Premier League meeting. Wolves are fighting for survival at the bottom of the table despite all the best efforts of manager Mick McCarthy. Fulham though have plenty to play for as they need all available points with Liverpool and Arsenal still to play before the season ends. With Wolves losing their last two games and conceding seven goals in the process they have to find some sort of fighting spirit soon or they are destined for the Championship next season. A good win could lift any team out of the relegation zone because that is how tight the league is this year and with Wolves playing Sunderland and Blackburn in their last two games their season is far from over despite being at the bottom of the table when they face Fulham at the weekend.

Fulham are playing well but they are lacking consistency and that is their biggest let down. With no wins in their last seven away games and just three points taken from draws there is not a lot of belief that the Cottagers can win on the road. Three of Fulham’s last six games this season are at home and they will need maximum points from those fixtures but anything they can pick up on the road will go long way to given Fulham a respectable finish. The Wolves will take on Fulham on the 20th of September at their home ground, i.e. the Molineux Stadium for a live Barclay Premier League match. None of the teams have been able to perform much during this season with Fulham at 10th position and the Wolves at 16th on the charts. The wolves will however, try pretty hard to defend their pride at home and will greet the away team with tough competition. Tune in and find out if the Wolves can defend their home advantage and watch the Wolves vs. Fulham live on OleOleFootball.

The wanderers have had just 1 win this season out of its 5 combats. They managed to draw the match 1-1 with Hull City previously this season but lost badly in the previous match with Blackburn Rovers. Manager Mick McCarthy will be pretty disappointed with the performance of the team as the team has managed to score just 3 goals in the last 5 matches. The performance and formations both have been poor for the wolves and they will have to buckle up in order to prevent sinking even lower in the charts.

After consecutive losses to Chelsea and Aston, Fulham finally got back in the league with a 2-1 win over Everton in the last match. Thanks to Duff’s contribution late in the match, Fulham was able to pull the match off in the ending moments. The credit also goes to the defender Paul Konchesky, who apart from being the strength of a tight defence, also managed to pull an equalizer with a deflected long range shot against Everton.

The last win by Fulham got them to the mid-table in the charts but they will have to keep the wins coming their way to make it big this season. The Wolves, on the other hand, have the advantage of playing at home, but that is not enough to pull off a win. They will have to learn from the mistakes if they want a respectable performance in front of the home crowd. Find out which team can pull off an important victory by watching the Wolves vs. Fulham live on OleOleFootball this weekend.
