After their rather lacklustre start to the new Bundesliga season in which they drew two and lost one of their first three games, Bayern Munich recorded their second straight win last weekend with an impressive victory at Borussia Dortmund. As mentioned above, Bayern Munich didn’t enjoy the best of starts to the new campaign, but the last couple of week's they have certainly put down a marker to the rest of the division with two sensational victories. The weekend before last they beat Wolfsburg quite comprehensively at home by 3-0, and then followed that up by thrashing Borussia Dortmund in Dortmund by 5-1.

In the match against Dortmund last weekend, Bayern actually fell behind to an early tenth minute goal. Gomez levelled things up though in the 36^th minute and the two teams went in at half time at one goal apiece. No one could have expected the action that was to take place in the second half though, and Bayern totally blew Dortmund out of the water with an exhilarating display of football. They scored a further four goals and the final 5-1 score line really reflected how the second half went.

Bayern are now up to fifth in the Bundesliga with eight points and the eight goals they have scored in the last two games has certainly helped their goal difference. They have no new injury problems ahead of the Nurnberg game.

Nurnberg arrive in Munich on the back of a 1-0 home win over Borussia Monchengladbach and are now up to thirteenth with five points.
