Neil Lennon’s Celtic will welcome Hearts to Celtic Park for their meeting in the SPL this Wednesday 26 January. Lennon's side have had the momentum lately after beating Rangers but although they are in front of the Glasgow Blues they have played less games and need to win to keep the pressure on. Hearts have been playing some nice football but in the space of four days they come up against Celtic and Rangers which will make this a very taxing week for the Edinburgh team. Neil Lennon has had mixed fortunes so far with a great start to his domestic season as manager of Celtic but with a poor record in European football. Nevertheless, it now means that the team have more chance to concentrate on winning as much as they can and with close rivals Rangers also starting well, nobody will be happy with points dropped.

Part of Lennon’s problem is a weakness at left back and he has had to play new signing Joe Ledley there but many feel he is best in a midfield role. Ledley did actually start as left back for Cardiff when he originally made the first team but he has been exposed a few times since his move to Celtic which may have dented his confidence. Maloney though will be chomping at the bit come Saturday and will be keen to find the net.
