Glasgow Celtic will travel to Motherwell for their fixture in Scottish Premier League season 2010/11. Neil Lennon’s men will be favourites to win the game even in the Fir Park Stadium. After beating rivals Rangers so convincingly Celtic may take their foot off the gas but with Hooper back and in-form that is highly unlikely. Celtic will have every intention of steamrollering all opponents for the rest of the season and given their current form that is not in any way improbable. Neil Lennon has turned things around for the Bhoys by beating Rangers by three goals to nil in last week’s clash and with the emergence of Kris Commons and Hooper in the kind of form that they are in the game against Motherwell who are in fifth place should be a done deal. With Rangers eight points behind Celtic and two games extra to play Lennon can’t afford to take it easy in terms of selection but with so many strikers playing well it means that he will have to upset someone at some point. Anthony Stokes came on late on against Rangers and he will have been disappointed to have sat out for most of that game but he should feature from the start on Sunday.

Motherwell’s Francis Jeffers who at thirty years of age seems to have been around forever but he is still playing very good football and could prove troublesome for the League leaders if he gets the chance. Motherwell have won their last two games in the league so they are playing fairly well and will go all out for the win especially in front of their own fans. Glasgow Celtic will travel to Motherwell for their third game of the Scottish Premier League season 2010/11. Neil Lennon’s men will be favourites to win the game despite being visitors to the Fir Park Stadium. Will the Bhoys pull off an emphatic win or will Motherwell win with a repeat of their game against Kilmarnock? You can watch it live with streaming SPL football at oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Celtic will certainly be no easy team and they will have confidence oozing from their players after a convincing 4-0 win over St. Mirren in their last league fixture. Once again new signing Joe Ledley was used as stand in at left back but this time he managed to rifle home a stunning shot. The makeshift defender is not alone in playing out of position for Celtic as a full back. Efrain Juarez also had to fill in and perform some defensive duties on the opposite side to Ledley. The pair though managed quite well and has given Lennon confidence in his team. Shaun Maloney at nineteen years old shows plenty of promise and is rapidly justifying a regular place in the starting lineup. The Hoops will need to win this game to stay in the shared position at the top of the SPL.

Motherwell’s Nick Blackman is expected to be worked frequently after his dream maiden game start meant his team got all three points against Kilmarnock. It may be an all together different challenge against Celtic but the 20 year old is well up for it. He has his eyes on helping them progress in Europe too so why not see if he can with live streaming SPL football at oleolefootball.watchlive.net.

Last weekend Celtic entertained Rangers’ victors from the week before, Aberdeen, at Parkhead. The game turned out to be easier than the Hoops had anticipated and the final 3-0 score line rather reflected the way the game panned out. Not showing the urgency they had done against Rangers the week before, Aberdeen were well below par and can have no complaints with the final score.

Celtic took the lead on 39 minutes when McDonald found the back of the net, and when Greek international Samaras scored the first of his brace on 52 minutes, the writing really was on the wall for the Dons. The Greek wrapped up the scoring on 76 minutes, but not before the visitors were reduced to ten men thanks to a 55th minute sending off.

Celtic remain two points ahead of bitter rivals Rangers and have thirty points to their name. They do, though, have a game more than their Glasgow rivals so will be looking to secure the three points on offer when they travel to Motherwell on Saturday.

For their part, Motherwell are currently sitting in fifth position in the SPL and have twenty points to their name. At the weekend they travelled to high flying Hibs and lost the game 2-0. Motherwell’s home record is fairly good, with three wins, three draws and just one defeat from their seven games so far.

Celtic would be disappointed losing out in the Old Firm derby when they held all the aces over Rangers in the backdrop to the biggest match of the season thus yet. Celtic took the lead twice but was undone due to a combination of poor defending and some polished finishing by the Rangers outfit. With seven points from four matches, Celtic have slipped down to fourth in the table and will need to pick themselves up going into the middle of a long and ardous season. A victory here coupled with a loss for Rangers could see Celtic go back into second in the table and they will be eager to do their part away at home against Motherwell.

After the highs of last season when they gifted the title to Celtic by defeating Rangers in the penultimate day of the season along with qualifying for Europe by finishing third in the league, Motherwell haven’t quite picked up form and momentum this season and are currently languishing in ninth place of the twelve team Scottish Premier League table. Motherwell has secured four points out of their four matches so far. However, they did secure their first victory of the season with a 1-0 win victory over Hibernian last weekend and they will be itching to repeat the defeat of Celtic of last season when they welcome the Champions to Fir Park Stadium this weekend.
