St Johnstone will welcome Celtic to McDiarmid Park on Tuesday April 12 for a Scottish Premier League fixture that should be the last time the two teams meet this season. Celtic are on track to claim another league title but after playing 31 games St Johnstone still have their sights on finishing in the top half of the table. See how the game goes with live streaming from oleolefootball.watchlive.net.
With that time of year rapidly approaching when the two halves of the table go their separate ways St Johnstone are desperately trying to pick up points to lift them in to the top half which will ultimately mean much more revenue for team from Perth as they will get to play teams more likely to increase their gate receipts. After winning none of their last seven games the points may run away from St Johnstone on Tuesday but Celtic can’t be complacent when they take to the pitch.
With The Hoops two points clear at the top having played the same amount of games as Rangers any slip up now would allow the Glasgow Blues to snatch the title at the last minute. A draw for Celtic and a win for Rangers would put them level on points but Celtic at the moment have a plus 46 goal difference which is nine more than Rangers. At the moment the league title hangs in the balance and either Glasgow team could win it when they play each other. For that to be an option Celtic need to keep picking up points against teams like St Johnstone. See the game live with streams from oleolefootball.watchlive.net and see if Celtic can stretch their lead.

Celtic beat St.Johnstone 3-2 on Wednesday night to book their place in the next round of the CIS Cup. The match looked done and dusted when a brace from Anthony Stokes along with a goal from Niall McGinn allowed Celtic to go 3-0 within the first quarter of an hour.
Sam Parkin and Murray Davidson netted on either side of the lemon break to set up a tense finale to the game. Parkin volleyed home in the 31st minute while Davidson nodded in Danny Grainger’s corner nine minutes after the interval. Celtic keeper Fraser Forster prevented the tie from going into extra time when he kept out Jennison Myrie-Williams’ long range effort.

Mutterings of disapproval are starting to make themselves heard from the Celtic faithful after their team dropped another two points at the weekend. This, coupled with another win by arch rivals Rangers, means the Bhoys have now dropped nine points behind their enemies in the pursuit of the SPL title. Despite having a game in hand over Rangers, the point’s difference at the top is such that it may prove extremely difficult for the Hoops to make up the difference.
In the game against Falkirk, it was the visitors that actually took the lead with a goal from Finnigan on nineteen minutes. Celtic managed to equalise five minutes before half time with a goal from Greek striker Giorgos Samaras. Despite the best efforts of both teams though, the second half brought no further goals and the game finished at one apiece.
St. Johnstone host Celtic having not played a league game since Boxing Day thanks to the arctic conditions that prevailed in Scotland for almost a month. Their lack of playing time may or may not help them in their game. Although the players will be rested for the encounter, there is the possibility that they now lack match practise.
