Lithuanian striker Andrius Velicka scored his third goal in as many games as Rangers comfortably beat St.Mirren in the semifinals of the Homecoming Scottish Cup last week. Velicka put the Gers ahead with his 2^nd minute strike. Kris Boyd scored his 100^th goal for the club in the second half, and Kenny Miller added a third a few minutes later to send Rangers into the finals of the Cup.

Rangers will be missing reliable Algerian defender Majid Bougherra, who is suspended for this league clash. If Sasa Papac and Kirk Broadfoot do not recover from their injuries, former Hearts defender Andy Webster could be called in to partner David Weir in the heart of defence.

Hearts have had a wonderful season under Csaba Laszlo, and are currently third in the table with 54 points. They hold one of the two Europa League spots, and unless they play really poorly in the last five games of the season, they should be able to hold on to it.

Hearts drew 0-0 with Falkirk in their last SPL game. The game was dull and boring, but Andy Driver and David Obua came close to breaking the deadlock for Hearts. This is the third time Rangers are playing Hearts at Ibrox this season. They won the first game in August, but were held to a 2-2 draw in March this year after leading 2-0 at half time.
