League leaders AC Milan still remain on top of the league after 20 rounds, but the Rossoneri will be keen to pull up their socks after claiming only a single point each in their last two fixtures against Udinese and Lecce. Milan’s lead at the top of Serie A is currently a mere four points, with Napoli and Lazio both hot on the Rossoneri’s tail.

Against Lecce, Milan coach Allegri chose to persist with the striking pair of Alexandre Pato and Zlatan Ibrahimovic upfront and kept the temperamental Antonio Cassano on the bench. The Rossoneri took the lead early in the second half through a wonder strike from Ibrahimovic. The striker collected a long ball and despite being surrounded by Lecce defenders, came up with a stunning left footed effort from 25 yards out that completely took Antonio Rosati in the Lecce goal by surprise.

Unfortunately for Milan, Ibrahimovic’s goal could not confirm three points for them. Rubén Olivera scored the equaliser for Lecce in the 82^nd minute and try as Milan did to secure the winner, they had to be content with a point at the final whistle.

Cesena secured a stunning 2-0 win when the two sides met earlier this season. First half strikes from Erjon Bogdani and Emanuele Giaccherini sealed victory for Cesena that evening. Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his Milan debut against Cesena but had a night to forget as he also missed a late penalty.
