After successive losses to Internazionale and Udinese, AC Milan will be aiming for a quick return to winning ways when they host struggling Livorno at the San Siro on Sunday evening. Join us today at Ole Ole Football and watch AC Milan vs Livorno live on your computer.
The Rossoneri were dumped out of the Coppa Italia by Udinese on Wednesday evening. Swiss international Gokhan Inler’s goal eleven minutes into the second half was enough for Udinese to progress to the last four at Milan’s expense. Milan’s Czech defender Marek Jankulovski came close to equalising but unfortunately for the home side, his effort from close range was off target.
Goalkeeper Christian Abbiati marked his return from injury against Udinese. Coach Leonardo also gave Dutch forward Klaas Jan Huntelaar a rare start. Brazilian star Ronaldinho was suspended for the Coppa Italia fixture, but he will be available for selection this weekend.
Livorno’s woes continued as they were beaten 2-0 by Napoli last weekend. The resulted prompted Amaranto boss Serse Cosmi to put in his papers, but the board refused to accept his resignation. The loss against Napoli was Livorno’s third defeat in four league games in 2010. Cristiano Lucarelli also missed a penalty for the Tuscan outfit against Napoli. Livorno are just two points above the relegation zone and have lost seven of their ten away games in the league so far.
Livoro keeper Alfonso de Lucia was sent off towards the end against Napoli and is therefore suspended for the trip to Milan. Cosmi will also have to do without the services of Brazilian midfielder Mozart, who like De Lucia is suspended.
