Bari are stuck at the bottom of the table when eight points from nine games. Milan have seventeen from the same number of fixtures.

Bari suffered their second straight league defeat last Sunday when they were beaten 3-1 by Cagliari. The defeat came on the heels of a 1-0 reverse against Atalanta the week before and dealt a blow to the club’s ambitions of European football. Salvatore Masiello scored Bari’s only goal of the game against Cagliari.

Milan took the lead against Man United through Ronaldinho but the visitors first equalised through Paul Scholes and then went 3-1 up thanks to Wayne Rooney’s brace. Clarence Seedorf pulled one back for Milan late in the game but the Rossoneri have a mountain to climb ahead of the second leg in Old Trafford.
