Juventus picked up a point from their Round 14 fixture against Fiorentina at home last weekend. It was Juve’s third league draw in four games. The Bianconeri are currently in joint third place in the league with Napoli, six points behind AC Milan.

Fiorentina took the lead when Juventus’ Marco Motta inadvertently diverted Juan Vargas’ cross into his own net in the 4^th minute. Try as hard as Juventus did to come back into the game, they could not as Fiorentina keeper Artur Boruc was in splendid form. However a mistake from Boruc proved to be Fiorentina’s undoing as he allowed Simone Pepe to equalise eight minutes from time.

Catania held second placed Lazio to a draw last weekend. Both the goals- Matias Silvestre for Catania and Hernanes for Lazio, came in the dying minutes of the first half. Silvestre’s goal was created by Cristian Llama, with the former nodding in a corner from the latter.

Silvestre also scored in Catania’s last meeting against Juventus. He opened the scoring for the Sicilians in the 24^th minute only for the Bianconeri to equalise shortly after the break through Claudio Marchisio. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. Catania are currently 11^th in the table with eighteen points to their name. They are also unbeaten in the league at home this season, having collected fifteen points from a possible twenty one- a fact that would not have gone unnoticed by Juventus gaffer Luigi Delneri
