The Rossoneri regained their winning touch last weekend with a convincing win over Parma. Dutch veteran Clarence Seedorf set things rolling in the 8^th minute, scoring his first league goal of the season after being set up by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ten minutes later, Parma were 2-0 down as Antonio Cassano neatly exchanged passes with Gennaro Gattuso to double Milan’s advantage.

Cassano then turned provider on the hour mark when he set up Brazilian Robinho for Milan’s third of the game. The rout was complete when the duo again combined four minutes later to net another goal for the Rossoneri.

Chievo lost heavily at Cagliari last weekend. The visitors were blown away by an excellent first half performance from Cagliari, who netted three times before the interval to end the game as a contest. Nene added a fourth for Cagliari before Cyril Thereau, a second half substitute for Bojan Jokic, restored some pride for Chievo by pulling one back six minutes from time.

Milan are unbeaten in their last eight fixtures against Chievo since suffering a 2-1 loss in December 2005. The reverse fixture earlier this season at the San Siro ended 3-1 in Milan’s favour. Alexandre Pato scored two for Milan, with his Brazilian compatriot netting a late third. Chievo’s only goal that evening was also scored by a Milan player, with Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic unwittingly putting one past his own keeper.

Chievo had their five match unbeaten streak halted by Bari last weekend. Goals from Sergio Almiron and Andrea Ranocchia put Bari 2-0 ahead after 65 minutes. Chievo did manage to pull one back through Erjon Bogdani, but Bari held firm in the closing minutes of the game to grab all three points. Chievo were however left ruing the decisions of referee Renzo Candussio, who chose to overlook their desperate pleas for a penalty on two separate occasions.

Chievo are 10^th in the league with eleven points from eight games. The Flying Donkeys will be without the services of Colombian defender Mario Yepes, who is suspended for this game.

Milan stunned Real Madrid 3-2 in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Goalkeeper Dida’s horrendous error allowed Raul to put Real in front at the half way stage. Andrea Pirlo’s stunning long range effort allowed Milan to equalise, and the visitors went ahead four minutes later when Alexandre Pato scored. Real equalised through substitute Royston Drenthe, but Pato had the final say as he grabbed the winner in the 88^th minute.

Things are looking up for the Rossoneri now, and some pressure has been removed from the shoulders of rookie coach Leonardo. An unfavourable result at Chievo will however undo all the good work done in the past week. Milan will be without the services of midfielder Massimo Ambrosini, who misses this game after being sent off against Roma.
