Fiorentina slipped to 10^th place in the league table as they went down 2-1 to Milan at home last weekend. The Viola’s only goal of the game was scored by Juan Vargas after Milan had gone 2-0 ahead courtesy of goals from Clarence Seedorf and Alexandre Pato.

The previous league meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-1 draw, with Simone Pepe’s late strike cancelling out Marco Motta’s early own goal before Felipe Melo received his marching orders for Juventus.
