Milan maintained their position at the top with a vital 3-0 win over Napoli on Monday. The Rossoneri broke the deadlock early in the second half through a penalty from Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after Napoli defender Salvatore Aronica had been penalised for handball in the area.

Milan extended their lead thirteen minutes from time through Kevin Prince Boateng. Victory was sealed two minutes later when Mark Van Bommel set up Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato.

Things have all gone downhill for Juventus since their 1-0 triumph over Inter in the Derby D’Italia last month. All the good vibes from that victory have vanished thanks to back to back league defeats against Bologna and Lecce, both fixtures one would have expected the Bianconeri to take three points from.

As mentioned above, Juve fell to a shock defeat against Bologna last weekend, with former Bianconeri striker Marco Di Vaio netting both goals of the game against his former club. Luigi Delneri’s men are now a whopping seventeen points of the pace as they languish in seventh place with only 41 points to their name.

Juve beat Milan when the two sides met earlier this season. A goal in either half from Fabio Quaglirella and Alessandro Del Piero helped Juve claim three unexpected points against the Rossoneri, whose only goal of the evening was scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic eight minutes from time.

After a disappointing end to 2009, Juventus managed to start 2010 on a winning note as they beat Parma 2-1. Hasan Salihamidzic scored his second goal in as many league games as he headed the Bianconeri ahead on three minutes. However Parma equalised in the 25th minute when Nicola Amoruso perfectly headed Damien Zenoni’s cross past Juve keeper Alex Manninger.

Parma shot themselves in the foot six minutes before half time when Paolo Castellini put the ball past his own keeper. Juve defender Martin Caceres’ sending off resulted in a nervy last twenty minutes for the Bianconeri as Parma laid siege to Manninger’s goal. Caceres is therefore suspended for Milan’s visit to the San Siro. Striker David Trezeguet is also out after sustaining an ankle injury.

AC Milan came back from a goal behind to thrash Genoa 5-2 at the San Siro on Wednesday. Giuseppe Sculli put the visitors ahead on 25 minutes, but Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho atoned for his 13th minute miss by equalising for the Rossoneri in the 32nd minute. Thiago Silva put Milan ahead in the 38th minute and Marco Borriello’s second half brace ended the game as a contest by the hour mark.

Dutch striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar added a fifth from the spot in the 74th minute after Marco Rossi was penalised for a foul on Ronaldinho. Genoa managed a late consolation through new signing David Suazo five minutes later. LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham made his first appearance for Milan in 2010. Coach Leonardo employed Beckham as a forward in a three pronged attack along with Borriello and Ronaldinho.

Juventus host AC Milan in one of the most high profile fixtures of the weekend round of matches in the Italian Seria A , our Seria A live broadcast of Juventus vs AC Milan live online starting from 19:30 GMT Sunday 14th December 2008. Juventus have grown leaps and bounds over the season with Alessandaro Del Piero in peak form. The Italian international has been immense for the Bianconeri and has overseen some of Juventus most successful results including a double over Real Madrid and a home victory over AS Roma. Juventus come into this fixture on the back of a 2-1 away victory with Giovinco scoring a cracking free-kick and they will be hoping not to extend their six-point deficit over Inter as they host Milan in probably the most critical fixture of the weekend round of matches in the Italian Seria A.

AC Milan on the other hand, have failed to build upon their form over the early part of the season aand although they have secured a series of scrappy victories, they are still way beyond their best. The Rossenari come into this clash on the back of a 1-0 victory over Catania with Kaka scoring the only goal of the clash. However, AC Milan will be without the services of Gattuso for the rest of the season following a torn ligament and this would definitely open the door for Flamini as Milan look to took a huge step towards their first Scudetto since 2003/04 with a win over Juventus.
