The Juventus- Fiorentina fixture was surprisingly not a very ill tempered one, given how games between the two sides in recent times have panned out. Schelotto fired in after Lazio keeper Fernando Muslera failed to hold on Gonzalo Bergessio’s effort on goal.

Stefano Maurir's 56^th minute effort restored Lazio’s advantage and the Biancocelesti put the game beyond Catania’s reach when they netted a third twelve minutes from time through Sergio Floccari. Argentine striker Mauro Zarate, an early substitute for Giuseppe Sculli, netted a late fourth to make the score line even more one sided.

Juve earned a chance to equalise when Fabio Grosso was adjudged to have been fouled, but Diego sent his spot kick over the bar. Sergio Almiron struck the killer blow four minutes from time, firing home from thirty yards out to put Bari 3-1 ahead.

Sinisa Mihajlovic suffered a loss in his first game as Catania manager as the Sicilian outfit went down to Livorno last weekend. Lithuanian forward Tomas Danilevicius scored the winner two minutes from time for Livorno.

Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen is suspended for Juventus while Giuseppe Mascara will also be unavailable for Catania following his sending off against Livorno. Catania are currently at the bottom of Serie A having collected only nine points from their first sixteen games.
