Juventus drew 1-1 with Chievo Verona in their last game before the three week league breather. Chievo missed an early penalty through Michele Marcolini before a fabulous overhead kick by Fabio Quaglirella put Juventus ahead in the 31^st minute.

However the visitors were reduced to ten men when Manuel Giandonato was given his marching orders early in the second half. Chievo made their one man advantage count late in the fixture when Sergio Pellissier scored in the 93^rd minute of the game. Juventus are currently fourth in Serie A with 31 points from 17 games, five behind pace setters Milan.

Manuel Giandonato is suspended for the Thursday game as a result of the red card he received against the Flying Donkeys. Joining him on the sidelines is Leonardo Bonucci, who will serve a one match ban after picking up another yellow against Chievo.

Parma drew 0-0 with Bologna in a match that failed to excite the crowd. Both sides had their chances, but the strikers at both ends were guilty of not doing more in the final third of the pitch. Parma are currently only four points above the relegation zone and will be without the services of the suspended Alessandro Lucarelli against Juventus.

Parma were victorious in their last trip to Juventus, winning 3-2 in May 2010 thanks to Davide Lanzafame’s first half brace. Alessandro Del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta were the scorers for Juventus that day in Turin.
