However the visitors had not accounted for the heroics of substitute Francesco Lodi. The striker netted twice late in the fixture to give the Sicilians a 3-2 victory.

Juventus thrashed Lecce 4-0 when these two sides met previously this season. There were four different scorers for the Turin outfit that day- midfielders Alberto Aquilani and Felipe Melo and strikers Fabio Quaglirella and Alessandro Del Piero. Juve have 41 points from 25 games while Lecce have 24.
