Palermo had their three game winning streak halted by Udinese last Sunday. Antonio Floro Flores gave Udinese the lead before the break, only for Fabio Simplicio to equalise for Palermo. Flores and Kwadwo Asamoah then scored twice in the space of five minutes to put Udinese 3-1 ahead.
