After beating Juventus 2-0 last Thursday in the Italian Cup, Roma return to action after a gap of nearly a week as they host Brescia in a midweek league clash on Wednesday night. See AS Roma vs Brescia live online by joining Ole Ole Football today.
Roma did play against Bologna on Sunday in the league, but the game was cancelled after roughly fifteen minutes of football due to worsening weather conditions. Referee Luca Banti took the decision to stopping the game after both Roma coach Claudio Ranieri and his Bologna counterpart Alberto Malesani asked for the game to be brought to an end.
Brescia meanwhile slumped to their second successive league defeat as they were beaten 3-0 by Chievo on Sunday. The home side took the field in an attack minded formation as Andrea Caracciolo, Eder and Alessandro Diamanti all started for the club but it all came to nought as Sergio Pellissier’s brace helped Chievo overcome their hosts. The other goal of the fixture came from the boots of David Mandelli early in the second half.
As a result of them not playing last weekend, Roma have slipped to fourth place in the league. Brescia are currently second from bottom in the league standings, having collected only 18 points from 22 fixtures. They have taken only four points out of a possible 33 away from home in the league this season. Brescia however did beat AS Roma 2-1 when the two teams met in September 2010. Roma finished that game with ten men following the dismissal of French defender Philippe Mexes.
