Napoli bounced back from a surprise midweek defeat against Chievo by seeing off Cesena 2-0 last Sunday. Argentine defender Nicolas Burdisso was sent off in the fixture against Inter and will not be available for this weekend’s encounter against Walter Mazzari’s side. Roma are currently seventh in the league with 39 points, seven behind second placed Napoli. In the previous fixture between the two sides in October last year, Napoli triumphed 2-0 with both goals coming in the second half.
