Vincenzo Montella will be looking for a win in his first home game as Roma manager when the Giallorossi host Parma this weekend in Serie A. See live Roma vs Parma 2011 streaming on your computer by joining Ole Ole Football today.
Montella enjoyed a winning start to his reign as manager of the Giallorossi as Roma beat Bologna 1-0 in their midweek Serie A fixture. A solitary goal from midfielder Daniele de Rossi on the stroke of half time was enough for Roma to break their three game losing run in the league.
Montella started with Mirko Vucinic and Borriello upfront, thus choosing to leave veteran Francesco Totti out of his starting lineup. Roma’s defence managed to keep a clean sheet against Bologna, thus bringing relief to the fans who had seen their backline concede 11 times in the last three league fixtures against Internazionale, SSC Napoli and Genoa.
Parma dominated their weekend fixture against Cesena but needed a last gasp goal from Rafael Palladino to secure a point against the visitors. Alessandro Rosina put Cesena ahead in the first half, but Parma equalised midway through the second half when Hernan Crespo scored from the spot.
Paolo Sammorco restored Cesena’s lead with his 79th minute goal, but Palladino was on hand to save Parma the blushes as he netted the equaliser a minute from time. The home side could have won the game but the heroics of Francesco Antonioli in the Cesena goal prevented them from going ahead. Antonioli defied his age to deny Parma time and again in both halves as Cesena came almighty close to snatching a stunning victory.
