The Giallorossi rode on the back of a brace from Montenegrin hit man Mirko Vucinic to beat Lazio 2-1. Tempers were frayed in the derby and Roma skipper Francesco Totti was fined heavily for his thumbs down gesture towards the opposition fans. Sampdoria moved above Palermo in the league standings thanks to a last gasp 2-1 win over third placed AC Milan in Round 34. The Blucerchiati currently occupy Italy’s final Champions League spot but have a host of other teams breathing down their neck.
