Both teams are sitting at the top of the rankings of group one with fourteen points, and it looks like these two are going to be traveling to South Africa. Bahrain, Qatar and Uzbekistan are on the list as well, and while Japan and Australia has already qualified one thing is for sure – no one wants to be left behind for the finals. Bahrain holds the third place ranking with 7 points, while Qatar has 4 and Uzbekistan brings up the rear with three. This game will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in East Melbourne and it will be held on Thursday, June 17th.

World cup Live

Australia just finished up a game with Qatar on Saturday, and to Qatar's credit they were able to hold off the top ranked team, the game ending in a no score draw. This draw secured the points that Australia needed to qualify for next year's finals. Japan may have scared the Soccaroos a bit, when they won against Uzbekistan a few hours before the Australia-Qatar game, but Australia was able to qualify regardless, when they kept Qatar from scoring and ended up with a 0-0 draw.

Japan's last game was the aforementioned match with Uzbekistan which also took place on Saturday, and they qualified at the same time. It looked at first like Japan might have the chance to score a multitude of points against Uzbekistan, with Striker Shinji Okazaki making his goal at nine minutes in. They said they were aiming for the World Cup last four.
