Argentina will travel to Quito this week and play against Ecuador on Wednesday, June 10^th. The Albiceleste will have just finished a match with Columbia at home, and Maradona's team is in good spirits. They were just defeated by Bolivia in La Paz 6-1, but then came right back and took a 3-1 victory in Panama, with Gonzalo Bergessio taking his team to the final score with two goals himself. 

Coach Maradona said he was pleased with everyone's performance and will likely use most of the same players that were involved in the game against Panama, in the game against La Tri's, in Quito. Ecuador has a run of six unbeaten matches on their own soil, but Argentina will certainly be trying to upset that record with a win against La Tri's, but the question is can Argentina do it? The only team to defeat Ecuador at home came when they played Venezuala in the very first match of the World Cup Qualifiers

After that first match, Ecuador went up against Peru, Columbia, Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Chile at home, and won every single match grabbing a total of 12 points on home field, even against teams that were considered hard to beat like Brazil and Paraguay. Away, Ecuador's record isn't so good, losing all of their away matches except for two that they drew on. 

As the Albiceleste take on Ecuador they have to be remembering the last time they faced each other. Ecuador was leading 1 to 0, and were about to take home the game, when Argentina fought tooth and nail to get a last minute point – in the 90^th minute no less – making the game end in a draw. Will Argentina learn from the mistakes of the first game and come back with some serious skill, or will Ecuador continue to dominate at home?
