Russia will play away to Finland, and the scoreboard has Russia with twelve points on the Group 4 Europe Zone, all in all having 4 wins and 1 loss in their qualification record. The last game that Russia played was against Leichtenstein on April 1st, which was won by Russia when Konstatin Zyrianov made a 38' foot goal for the win, making the final score 1-0, Russia. The Russians have some stiff competition on the scoreboard however, with Finland just three points from taking over the number two spot on the board from them, and Wales just four away.

Finland had their own encounter against Leichtenstein on Saturday, meeting them at home in Helsinki, and the game was upset by Mario Frick shooting a goal in the 13th minute to put the 0 for 0 Liechtenstein out front. Mikael Forssell wasn't going to stand for it however, and grabbed his own point just before the interval. After 71 minutes Finland's Jonatan Johansson took the final goal, which brought Finland just a few points away from catching second placed Russia. The final was of course 2-1 Finland, which keeps their hopes alive for South Africa while Leictenstein is still ranked lowest in group four at the bottom with just a single point.
