Guinea and Malawi are fighting for that third and final ticket to the Nations Cup in Angola and this Sunday they will face each other in a match that could decide either way for the two teams. Reaching the actual World Cup may be out of reach for these two teams, but the Nations Cup is still up for grabs, and right now both teams are tied on the leader board with 0 points. Guinea is ranked third while Malawi is holding up the bottom of the rankings.

Guinea will be a new team some say, as Robert Nouzaret was removed and Aboubakar Camara took charge of the team. The Guineans have lost both of their previous world cup qualification matches, one against Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou which ended 4-2, and their most recent, a loss to the Ivory Coast 2 to 1 in Conakry. This match was emotionally disabling for the Guineans as it would be their first home loss in fifteen years. Some say that lack of discipline has plagued the team, and that it is responsible for their losses, which means that Camara will be expected to reinstitute that discipline. This Sunday's game will be his first match in charge.

As for fourth ranked Malawi return to West Africa, they know that they are not going to play in the World Cup this year, after they lost to Cote d'Ivoiry and Burkina Faso. They will be playing away at Guinea and while the World Cup dreams are gone, they still have a chance to participate in the Nations Cup, but they will have to fight Guinea for it. The Flames will be depending on Striker Chiukep Msowoya to do it, who has proven that he can compete at the World Cup level, and the team will be relying on him for points. They also have Josephy Kamwendo who was with the Orlando Pirates of South Africa.

Malawi was in West Africa in March and lost to Ivory Coast 5-0, which was also the site of the tragic stampede that saw the death of nineteen people. They will certainly be hoping not to lose this time, as well as nothing further like the incident in March but will have to compete hard for their ticket to the Nations Cup.
