World cup Live

Scotland’s national football team underwent some changes and drastically improved results after they failed to qualify for the Euro 2008. However, after Alex McLeish resigned in order to coach Birmingham City the team fell of the wagon. New coach George Burley was unable to get the most from his team and he came under quite a bit of criticism. Scotland lost three straight friendlies against Northern Ireland, Croatia and Czech Republic.

Norway has played in the World Cup a total of three times and have been involved in the European Championship once. Their biggest feat may be that the team has never lost to Brazil. They are the only national team in the world that has played Brazil and not lost. The team is competing with Scotland, Macedonia, Iceland and the Netherlands in 2010 World Cup qualifying. They have a new coach Egil Olsen and they fired Hareide when they did not win a game in all of 2008.
