The game between South Korea and Greece could well determine the World Cup fate for both teams. South American giants Argentina are expected to win all their fixtures, meaning that victory for Korea or Greece will put them in pole position to join the Albicelestes in the next round.

The mood is not too optimistic in Greece, which is grappling with a severe economic crisis that has rattled the European Union. Korean striker Lee Dong-Gook could make the bench against the Greeks after making a faster than anticipated recovery from his hamstring injury. Lee was the top scorer in the K-League last season. Greece will be relying on the genius of ageing playmaker Giorgos Karagounis, still considered by many to be the country’s best player.
